A dai' is never promised
A life of ease on earth
A dai' is a ghurabah
Who differs from common norm
In disciplining oneself
To be steadfast in sabar
To be firm in holding the akhlaqul Islam.
Despite what "disasters" or "calamities"
That may have come.

A dai' will be tested
Times & again in the promised he has made
To spread the right fikrah
Not for people but Allah's sake.
It is this intial niat for HIM
That many a time people went astray
Because precisely patience to standby

The principles & manhaj of dakwah
Is a difficult amanah
Forsaking the ethics of Islam is common
Because it is the least painful way
To get a quick short lived natijah
Which Allah may not give HIS redha
O dai' have you ever reflected
Deep in your heart and soul
Do you embrace dakwah for Allah

Or is it to champion the things you feel are right?
O dai' do pray to Allah
To show you whether what you believe
Is what HE wants you to do
Not what the environment you live in
Has successfully indoctrinated you.
