Ya Allah..berkati diri ini dengan jawapn ini...telah kuusahakan sedaya diri utk memberi sehikmah makna buat rakan2 manusiaku mengenalMu...

In my humble opinion, we humans, in our long journey towards completing our task and responsibility as His vicegerents on earth, at times, we try to seek for peace of mind and soul, tranquillity and serenity. What more when life seems so hard and challenging, especially when we declare ourselves as Muslims.

Then, there are many paths ahead of us….offering serenity in life. Some say that it is through hedonism way of life that we may refresh our mind from the exhausting and arduous daily life. Some disagree with that solution, and come with another way out…to keep out of worldly fun….concentrate only on urself, ur so-called “inner self development” by staying apart from the real issue of the society….but very little realize that in whatever we do, the benchmark is our Quran and Hadeeth…

What does the Quran says? It is only by remembering Him, you may find peace of mind and soul, serenity and tranquillity…..and to me..this is the bigger issue….

If we can understand this, only then we should ask ourselves, do we have to watch or support Malaysia Idol (by any means)? If only by watching and supporting MI we can be close to Allah, then it might be compulsory/ wajib to us to watch it. On the other hand, if by watching or even supporting MI, will keep us away from God,then I guess, it is not permissible to do so…

But, it is not just the issue of whether we should watch/ support it or not…

Far beyond that, it is a self check to all of us….who have been granted knowledge and `aql by God…to further think….

1-is this what the community today really wants?

2-If yes, is it inline with what our Creator asks? Or logically, does this way of life will lead us/ our family/the society/the country/the world towards holistic and progressive development in the future?

3-If it happens that it is not actually what the community wants to recharge their souls, but because there are no alternatives at par ready for them, and they are captivated to pick from whatever is ready for them, then why we (people with knowledge and ability) are unable to provide them with more exciting alternatives of inspiring life?

Does God grant us the chance to gain knowledge just to criticize people, or to look at ourselves and optimize the best in us for the benefits of the Ummah as a whole?

4-or is it that because we can’t even believe that we are able to compete excellently and provide the Ummah with better alternatives, thus it is better to just participate in whatever being prepared for us?

I believe that God has granted each of us with the faculty of mind, talents n capabilities not to be wasted…even to Mr. Daniel or Nita or Jacque or Dina or even Mawi….to be wasted just like that..or only for their own benefits…but it is granted to each of us to assist us in accomplishing OUR responsibilities and promises to God..to govern the world according to His laws…

It is the best model of engagement with the current society that WE have to think about….we don’t have much time to do that..so, we can’t waste even a second for useless things…Muslims have lost so many things….and we can’t afford to lose our aqeedah….our priceless iman and islam….by putting these important issues in life aside…

Let’s ask ourselves….and let’s answer sincerely and whole-heartedly….
Where do WE come from?
Why WE were created?
What is the purpose of OUR life?
Where we will be heading to after leaving this world?

calling people to Him is a RESPONSIBILITY….OUR RESPONSIBILITY….always remember that Allah knows everything we do, say, intent, EVERYTHING…thus, make sure in everything we do, we are answerable in front of Him…

this is the bigger picture I see from the issue being debated…

even though life seems very tough and challenging nowadays, always remember Allah…the greatest source of inspiration and motivation, Allah did not promise that life would always be easy, but HE PROMISE that He will be by our side, in everything we do, as long as we are on His path, seeking and hoping, dying to gain His Love and mercy….

stop for a while, look deeply inside you….what the human nature wants to tell you….is it to believe in the Almighty God who knows the best for His best creation….or not to believe?
